We’re excited to share the new features and enhancements introduced in the latest upgrade of Astro Gold macOS version 6.0.

Multiple Windows

• New “Open New Window” Button: Located in the title bar of Astro Locality Map, Dynamic Listings, and Graphic Ephemeris windows, this feature allows users to open new window instances directly. Charts and settings in the original window are locked for consistency but can be unlocked if needed.

Astro Locality Maps

• Base Chart Selection: Charts can now be selected directly within the Maps window, removing the need for a “locked” status. Dynamic charts can also be stepped or animated via the main screen controls, enabling features like CycloCartoGraphy.
• New Map Options: Easily open Maps windows for “selected” charts with a new menu option.
• Improved Relocation Report: Includes paran lines within a 2° orb and detailed labels indicating rising, setting, culminating, or anti-culminating points.
• Enhanced Mini Local Space Wheel: Displays Asc/MC line directions and other points for natal or directed charts.
• Geodetic Offset Options: Users can now input custom longitudes or select preset options (e.g., Greenwich Meridian) in the Reference tab of the Line Settings dialog.
• Asc/MC Lines: These lines are now displayed if selected in app settings.

Floating Chart Stepper

• New Tool: A floating window allows users to step or animate charts independently of the main window’s controls. Accessible via the View menu or page-specific stepper button.

Subsid ChartWheel Automator

• New Automation Tool: Configure and add dynamic subsidiary chart rings (e.g., transits, progressions) to a natal chart. Supports bi-, tri-, or quad-wheel setups with location customisation.

Dynamic Listings and Graphic Ephemeris

• Chart Selection Enhancements: Base charts can now be selected directly within these windows, removing dependency on the app’s main window chart order. Layouts have been optimised for improved usability.

Astro Sheets

• New Asteroid Sets: Added “Muses” and “Egyptian” asteroid sets, increasing the total number of extra bodies to 154.
• Resizable Sheets: Improved resizing for enhanced readability, with adjustments for lists, scrolling, and font sizes.
• Improved Scrolling: Lists maintain their position during resizing, reducing unnecessary bounce and scrollbar appearance.
• Appearance Updates: Points List Astro Sheet is now scrollable, and long lists are easier to read. Scrollable lists flash indicators for user clarity.
• ActionSaveGraphic Update: Default page names now align with Save As names for better consistency.

The Astro Gold for macOS Chart files are fully compatible and interchangeable with Solar Fire® desktop astrology program for PC, as well as Astro Gold iOS for iPhone and iPad.

There are also choices to display bi-wheels, tri-wheels, quad-wheels or dials, Select 1, 2, 3 or 4 charts at a time for display and Choose an Aspect grid with aspects of longitude and declination or Synastry Grids.

If you aren’t ready to buy straight away, you can download a demo version of the app below. Note that the demo has a number of limitations, which are completely removed when you register the app by buying a license, either below or via the app’s built-in Register… option. The main limitations are:

• You can only cast new natal charts for dates in the 1930s, and you cannot save any.
• You cannot step a chart forward in time beyond the current date.
• The list of recently used charts is deleted each time you exit the app.
