If you have Solar Fire, and would like to make the charts accessible to Astro Gold on an iPad, an iPhone, or a Mac, you can do so easily by using iCloud Drive.
The first step is to make sure that you have the iCloud Drive app on your Windows computer.
- Download iCloud for Windows directly from the Apple website: https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT204283
- Open the file, and sign in to the iCloud with the same email address and password you use to sign in to the iCloud on your Apple devices. Usually, the email address is the same as your Apple ID.
- Make sure you tick the box on the iCloud Drive next to iCloud Drive, then click the Apply button.
Now you are ready to use the iCloud Drive on your PC. There are two ways to open the iCloud Drive:
- Look in your system tray at the bottom of Windows, and if you see the icon for the iCloud, click on it and then click Open iCloud Drive.
- Or, open Windows Explorer, and then under Quick Access, click on the folder labelled iCloud Drive.
And now you are ready to save charts from Solar Fire onto the iCloud Drive
- Once you have opened iCloud Drive on your PC, look for and open the Astro Gold folder.
- Open Solar Fire, and at the top click on Utilities.
- In the Utilities menu, click Open User Files Folder.
- Click to open the Charts folder
The next step is easiest if you can put the iCloud Drive Astro Gold folder, and the Solar Fire Charts folder, side by side on your screen.
- Select all of the chart files in the Charts folder that you want to access in Astro Gold, right click on them and click copy. Then left click into the Astro Gold folder, right click and click paste.
You will now be able to view all of those Solar Fire Chart files in any Astro Gold app you have on an iPhone, iPad or Mac computer
