Astro Gold iOS 8 User Guide

If you haven't done so already, open Map Tools.

Relocating a chart is one of the main purposes of Astro Locality Mapping - studying the possible affects of relocating to another place.

Tapping on Relocate Chart displays the following screen:

Screen; relocate to setup

Currently selected location

This is either the location of the selected chart, or the most recent location you have previously relocated to (if you have done that). If this is the place you want as your relocation target then you are set to go. Otherwise you need to change this to the place you want to see relocation information for.

>> To enter a new location to relocate to

Place:  type in the City or Town.

Alternatively tap on the Info look-up icon Icon; blue info to the right of the "Place" field to choose a Place for the country/US state entered in the field below. Tap on the Place in this list you want.

Or if you are connected to the internet tap on the Globe Location Search icon Icon; globe to the left of the "Place" field to search for a place on the map. See Using The Globe for more info on doing this.

Country or US State:  type in the Country or US State

Alternatively tap on the Info look-up icon Icon; blue info to the right of the "Country or US State" field and tap on the Country/State in this list you want.

Latitude:  once you have filled in a Place and Country/State the latitude of that place will be automatically filled in here. However you can type over it with another latitude value if you want.

Longitude:  once you have filled in a Place and Country/State the longitude of that place will be automatically filled in here. However you can type over it with another longitude value if you want.

Note: If you leave either the latitude or longitude fields blank they will revert to 0°.

a)To get them automatically filled in again you will need to select a different Country/State (this is just temporarily). When you do this you will get an error message saying Astro Gold cannot find the place you have entered in that Country or State.

b)Tap on the OK button then reselect the original (correct) Country/State for the place entered and the latitude and longitude will be refreshed with their original values. The values will be colored red for a failed look-up and colored green for a successful look-up by Astro Gold.
